The Paschke Home

Words can’t express on how grateful we are to be building side by side with the wonderful volunteers that took their skills to help build on our new Habitat for Humanity home. I would like to thank everyone who worked and helped us through our whole process. We thought we would be renting for the rest of our lives until we heard some people talk with us about Habitat for Humanity. We never thought our lives would have changed this much. Habitat for Humanity gave us a fresh start for our family. We want to thank them for giving us a stable home to make memories in for a long time.

~The Paschke Family

Joe, April, Sarah, and Trinity

The Paschke home was built in partnership with the Virginia High School Building Construction class. Students applied hands on learning to build a simple, decent, affordable home with the Paschke family. The Applied Learning Institute and East Range Partnership worked with Habitat to provide this Service Learning opportunity for the students. The students learned all aspects of home construction along with new, innovative "Green" building techniques.  It was truly a community effort as so many joined together to partner with the Paschke family to build this affordable home and make their dream come true!
