Otto Construction Update

Posted: 2008-11-24 00:00:00

We are continuing to make progress in Aurora. Jay Anderson of MAC Drywall and Mudding volunteered to tape and mud the sheetrock in the entire house. He completed that task as he could fit it into his busy schedule. We appreciate his help.

Charlie Fodness delivered enough black dirt mixed with sandy loam to complete the yard work. He provided the dirt at half the usual cost.

Ralph Johnson used his bobcat and other equipment to create a very nice yard. The yard was seeded and covered with hay. Green grass should begin to appear in the spring.

The work remaining consists of painting, installing interior doors, cupboards, counter tops, trim work and flooring. The remaining electrical and plumbing work will finish this project off. I'm sure that Kathy, Joe and Annabelle are anxious to move in.

Thank you to our many volunteers and supporters for making this home possible. The home will be a nice addition to the neighborhood. Take a look at it when you have a chance. It is across the street from the community building parking lot at 22 W First Ave N. And join us at the Dedication and Open House, Sunday, December 14th at 2:00!
