Habitat's annual Building the Future with Habitat Dinner is just two days away!

Volunteers are busy arranging everything, including the wonderful items that generous business partners and skilled individuals have donated for the Silent Auction, such as...

The Minnesota Timberwolves donated a Timberwolves t-shirt, an autographed Jason Collins' basketball shoe (size 17!), and 4 tickets to the basketball game against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday, April 11th at 7:00 pm in the Target Center.

Hugh Wallace Hultman, a local glass artist, donated a beautiful art piece, worth $300. The glass was carefully formed into an elegant curve that makes a single point of light in the center appear widened, suited especially for votive candles. Visit http://www.glassworkdesignstudio.com/ to learn more about this incredible artist and see examples of his work.

Several local wood artists donated items, including beautiful wooden scroll art and finely crafted wooden pens, letter openers and desk clocks.

Habitat volunteer-extraordinaire and Board Member Doug Gettle will be offering Wild Ricing Lessons again this year (all equipment provided). Last year this item prompted a bidding war, with both parties ultimately sharing the day and thoroughly enjoying themselves and the wild rice they took home afterwards!

Carol Hansen donated a beautiful and delicate Lladro figurine (http://www.lladro.com/) of a girl holding holding a lamb.

Or take advantage of the long snow sport season here in northern Minnesota and bid on the Giants Ridge Gift Certificates for 2 Alpine Lift Tickets and 2 Ski Rentals valid for the 2008-2009 ski season, worth $140.
