Habitat500 Training Tip #5

Pledges – telling friends what you are up to and why, generous friends pitch in for a worthy cause

Talking to people I know about Habitat and the bike ride may come too naturally for me! I hope I haven’t tired you out with my stories and child like enthusiasm. Though asking people for money is not most people’s favorite thing, I don’t mind doing it because the money I raise stays to build homes with needy families on the Iron Range. On this ride we pay a registration fee and then raise a minimum of $800 for the Habitat affiliate of our choice to go on the ride. This year you helped me raise a total of $1,800 for local Habitat projects! Thank you for your generous sponsorships on behalf of myself and the families your are helping to become homeowners who would otherwise not have the opportunity.
