As Deniese has said, "Home is where your heart is." Habitat understands that, for many families, the heart of the home is in the kitchen.

Habitat for Humanity has collected hundreds of recipes from Habitat affiliates all over the world, available in three great cookbooks. We thought we'd share a delicious recipe from these cookbooks each week. Try them out and let us know what you think! Artichoke and Spinach Casserole

Yield: 8 servings
Ingredients:
1 10-oz packages frozen chopped spinach, cooked, drained
1 16-oz can artichokes, drained, chopped
1/2 cup margarine
16 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/2 large onion, chopped
Garlic powder to taste
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 tablespoon margarine

  • Combine first 6 ingredients in bowl; mix well. Spoon into grased baking dish. Sprinkel with bread crumbs; dot with 1 tablespoon margarine. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
