Three of our projects are well under way in foundation preparation.
In Babbitt Sparky completed excavation last week, keeping us on track so that volunteers were able to set the forms and plumbing this week. The heating should be ready in time for the foundation to be poured this Saturday by the local 633 Masons Union.
Framing is scheduled to begin Monday, June 8th with the Care-a-vanners. Join us June 8-19 at at the build site: 37 Cypress.
At 202 15th Ave W in Eveleth the excavation was completed by Bill Gruska. The Curry Construction crew has already set the forms, enabling the plumber to continue his work. We will be pouring late next week in time to begin framing Tuesday, July 16th at out Build with the Bishop Day (look in the Thrivent Builds tag for more information about this exciting build opportunity).
Work will continue Saturday June 20th with a volunteer crew from Wells Fargo and June 22-26th with the Care-a-vanners. We are also excited to host volunteers from Hope Presbyterian Church on Friday, June 26th. Call 866.749.8910 to schedule your own group volunteer day at any of this summer's Habitat builds!
In Aurora excavation for sewer and water will soon be complete. Rasmusson Construction will then complete the building pad, with the goal of setting the forms and pouring the slab by the end of June. Check back weekly for news about the upcoming Build Blitz with the Olympic Framers and other volunteer opportunities.
